Primo Carnera vs Jim Londos 2.3.1950 - Boxer in Professional wrestling
Primo’s career started to decline and he ended up becoming a wrestler and appearing in a number of movies. He died in 1967 in his hometown, Sequals.
Here Jim Londos takes on Primo Carnera in one of the most famous matches to take place in the squared circle. Jim Londos was perhaps the greatest professional wrestler of all time. A huge star for decades, the Golden Greek came out of retirement to face former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Primo Carnera. Londos was the greatest draw in the history of wrestling and The Ambling Alp was a huge draw when he first entered the wrestling game. Carnera gained the boxing title with backing of a descent jab and some “connected” managers. Londos could stil...

Primo Carnera boxes Paulino Uzcudun in Rome before Benito Musolini 1933
Просмотров 23912 часов назад
In 1933, Carnera knocked out Ernie Schaaf, who days later died due to the injuries sustained during the fight. This same year the Italian traveled to Rome to beat Paulino Uzcudun in front of 70 thousand fans, one of them was Benito Mussolini. The dictator soon began to promote Carnera’s image (inspiring the creation of the Dick Fulmine comic) as that of the ideal Italian, Mussolini wanted his p...

Jack Dempsey's trainer was a wrestler, this was never going to go well.
chicken assult style.. not chicken hug and run style.😂
any lip readers make out what sullivan is saying early on
Yes that be great
I broke my back......... Mhhhh..... Spinal
People don't give Patterson enough credit but he was actually really good. Sonny Liston just happened to be arguably the first or second greatest HW of all time. Ali is the only HW you can say was better than him but no one wanted smoke with Liston from 1957-1961. And even at that point Patterson did it because it was right.
Ron Lyle was tough, dude came straight out of prison to professional boxing.
Archie here looking fresh, but kind of less refined
i fink robinson found it hard to figure out randy
Rest In Peace legends .
I love Dempsey
neither man is Heavyweight..
Lolol. The way he said "Back" with that much force lol. "I broke my BACK!!....... My back is broken..." 😂😂
The thing that can makes good fighters great is the physiology to take big punches... and boy could la motta take it on the chin not just once but all the way... The marvelous one, hagler was one of those but was much more skilfull as a boxer than la motta...
Tommy Farr , is typically Welsh , no offence meant when i say they are a " hardy " breed , Probably the toughest group of men in UK ..even the bad fighters are tough b****ds
Qual o nome daquele negao que dacuma encarada sinistra pro tyson???
Willard had a broken cheekbone, broken jaw, several teeth knocked out, partial hearing loss in one ear, and broken ribs. But other than that He was relatively unscathed
He ain't pretty no more.
Thanks for showing FAT CITYs own Amos Johnson (holds a dominant victory over Cassius Clay: aka Muhamaad Ali on Sept. 1959').
Pan american games thanks i just looked it up
⌛
Boxing sucked even more back them.
I beat him good opponent lost Rival
🐐👊🔥
23 year old Ali Vs. 30 year old Patterson
Dempsey don't let even the referee go to the count, or Villar to get up!! Very low moves 😅🤦♂️

Londos was the greatest draw in the history of wrestling and The Ambling Alp was a huge draw when he first entered the wrestling game. Carnera gained the boxing title with backing of a descent jab and some “connected” managers. Londos could still claim the Wrestling Championship as he had never been defeated since taking the title from Bronko Nagurski in 1938. Both are past there prime but this is still fun to see these legends in the ring together. I didn’t know who this was until Hajime Ippo, Dope! RIP 🫡💪💪
IDIOT..........
Round 12 Sugar gets revenge for round 11
Sugar was as much brawler as he was boxer. Instead of fighting with a long jab like most tall boxers he’d short jab at midrange to setup bombs
The best tribute video to Jack Dempsey there is. Amazing music to go with it. Thank you.

Wow, Jackie Gleason really was a real gentleman, well spoken, especially where he originated from. Rocky Marciano what can we say? The greatest!
The video quality is very good - well done - but if I may offer a constructive criticism, the noise reduction artifacts are quite distracting. With old records and films, it's usually best not to use noise reduction as recommended by the software - i.e. to take a sample and then apply noise reduction over the entire frequency range - but to use a plugin that allows you to adjust the amount of noise reduction across each frequency band. You could probably get rid of the artifacts by using a low-pass filter to limit high frequencies, where the gurgling sound usually resides after noise reduction.
Thanks for the tips ill look into that. Do you have a plugin recommendations
@@LegendsofBoxinginColor np! A really, really good one is Acon Digital Restoration Suite 2, but it's currently about 90 USD. The Izotope RX software has a really good noise reduction tool as well that allows you to adjust noise reduction across different bands, but that's also a bit expensive. Reddit recommends a free plugin called Bertom Denoiser, though I haven't tried it myself. Anyway - great channel, thanks for restoring all these old videos, a great pleasure to watch!
@@David-vp3eq thanks a lot! I will try these out
Footage looks like from the 1880ies... 😂
A movie or mini series about this guy would be awesome.
Marciano, Dempsey and Louis were good fighters... three fighters with three different styles who fought in different eras. Marciano says that they would have the toughest fight of their lives. I'll put this out and finish it... Marciano vs Foreman, the rock would be in his toughest fight ever!
He was a dancing cobra. The best.
Fitz came in at 167 pounds, but Corbett still knew he had to be careful with him. A dangerous little guy, as it turned out.
Onion farming in the great depression made training camp seem like a picnic for Basilio.
21:58 That's not the face of a winner, that's the face of a man who had to beat his hero
The two greatest boxers of all time
Joe Louis talked with his Fists. Not this B.S like today.
This should give the youth of today a perspective on just how disrespectful the people of today have become.
Every time I see Max; I think of Jethro.
